Terms of service
These terms explain the rules and responsibility boundaries for using LabelRoot.

Using LabelRoot
These terms apply when you use the LabelRoot website, hosted product pages, account service, APIs, or public plugins and connectors. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use LabelRoot for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept them for that organization.
You must use LabelRoot lawfully and provide information you are authorized to use. Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls, and do not use the service to mislead people about a product or its identity.
Product identifiers and packaging decisions
LabelRoot can validate the format and check digit of a GTIN and can format that identifier as a candidate GS1 Digital Link. LabelRoot does not issue GTINs, verify ownership of an identifier, certify GS1 compliance, approve packaging artwork, or guarantee that any retailer will accept a barcode or 2D code at checkout.
A candidate LabelRoot link is not active merely because it can be formatted. Before printing, you are responsible for registering the product in LabelRoot, resolving and testing the exact production URL, and confirming the identifier and artwork with the brand, printer, GS1 member organization, and relevant retail partners.
Public plugins and connectors
LabelRoot's public plugin and connector tools are read-only. They validate product identifiers, format candidate LabelRoot GS1 Digital Links, and return public LabelRoot product information. They do not create, edit, publish, or delete products and do not access a user's private LabelRoot account.
Results may be incomplete, unavailable, or outdated when no LabelRoot account has published or updated a product page. A result that no product is registered in LabelRoot does not establish whether an identifier is assigned or valid in another system.
Accounts, content, and availability
You remain responsible for content you submit or publish and for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to use it. You grant LabelRoot the limited permission needed to host, process, and deliver that content as part of the service.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access when reasonably needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or service operation. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Disclaimers and responsibility
LabelRoot is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for production, compliance, labeling, and commercial decisions made using the service. LabelRoot is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by GS1.
To the extent permitted by law, LabelRoot is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as LabelRoot changes. Material revisions will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to future use.
Questions about these terms can be sent to the support address below.
