What counts as a product
A product is one identifier with its own page, normally one GTIN. Variants that carry their own GTIN count separately, because they each get their own address, their own page, and their own reporting.
Scans are never counted against you. A product that takes off costs the same as one that does not, which is the way pricing should work for something printed on packaging you cannot easily change.
Why we start with one product
The risky moment is not opening an account. It is printing a QR thousands of times before confirming which product it represents, what page opens, and whether it scans on the real package. Starting with one exact product makes those decisions visible before print.
The request form starts only the free public-source product check. LabelRoot requests package art and begins the $750 setup only after the brand chooses to proceed.
The last approved page stays live after the included 60 days. Launch is $39 per month for up to 10 live products, Growth is $99 for 100, and Scale is $299 for 1,000. Subscribe only for continued editing, reporting, or more products; those plans do not include a new done-for-you setup for every product.
Common questions
01Do I pay before seeing anything?
No. The request form starts a free public-source product check. The $750 setup begins only after the brand chooses to have the page and QR built from its own approved materials for a print decision.
02Are there limits on scans?
No. Every plan includes unlimited scans.
03Do I need a monthly plan?
Not for the free check or $750 setup. After the included 60 days, subscribe only if you want continued editing, reporting, or more live products. The last approved page stays live without a monthly plan.
